The Engineer's Week San Diego Awards Banquet will be Friday, February 22, 2019. Geared for all aspiring engineering students, advocates and engineers alike our keynote is "San Diego's Astounding History of Exploration" by Kevin Hardy of the Marine Technology SocietySo join in on the "Engineers Invent Amazing" theme, meet local engineering society leaders and hear the amazing achievements of our San Diego engineering heroes.

SDCEC Quarterly Council Meetings - The next meeting is:
  • Winter Council Mtg - Thursday, January 17, 2019. 
  • Agenda: Networking followed by two separate independent committee meetings: 
    • (1) Banquet Hospitality (all invited) by chair Bob Klug, 
    • (2) Awards Judging (committee members only) by chair Keith Glassman. (Volunteer to judge by contacting 
  • RSVP to to support food planning and to get onto the calendar. Social begins at 5:30, 6:00 introductions & society updates, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. committee meetings.
More about the SDCEC Council Meetings:
  • Representatives from each of the engineering societies  (president, liaison, or other leaders), engineering schools, and STEM non-profits are invited to attend. 
  • Meetings allow time for networking and an update from your organization that you would like to share with the group (a public networking or professional development event, outreach activities or volunteer needs).
  • The agenda includes committee updates to advance the mission and objectives of the SDCEC. Here is more information on prior council meetings.
