Engineers Week began in 1951 by celebrating the birthday of one of our nation’s first engineering role models, George Washington, noted for his engineering survey work. Engineers Week is about recognizing and celebrating engineers and the contributions engineers make in the world around us. The 2024 Engineers Week theme is "Welcome to the Future" curring during the week of February 18 - 24.
On February 19, 2024 the San Diego County Engineering Council (SDCEC) will kick-off Engineers Week with the San Diego Engineers Week Awards Banquet. The SDCEC invites you to participate by becoming a Banquet Sponsor.

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PACKAGE $500 (COLLEGES / K12) - 10 Banquet Tickets (must include students, may include educators too). Students under the age of 18 require a parent to attend as well.

*Engineering Legends
An Engineering Legend is a pioneer or historic role model who represents the originality, innovation and advancement of the engineering profession. Each Sponsorship Package has the opportunity to select and sponsor an Engineering Legend who is reflective of your industry including those who have received society's highest technical honors. Please select your legend early for the first choices. SPONSORED LEGENDS will only be assigned once and will be featured through promotional materials and on social media.
You may select an ENGINEERING LEGEND FROM OUR LIBRARY or are welcome to suggest other legends to match your industry with advanced notice. For additional inquires, please contact sponsorship@SanDiegoEngineers.org
