San Diego Engineering Society Scholarships 

Many San Diego Engineering Society "Sections" or "Chapters" offer scholarships. They typically require some type of San Diego residency (ie graduating from a San Diego high school or attending a San Diego college):

• ASHRAE - Am Society of Heating, Refrig, Air-Cond Engineers San Diego - (deadline April 30, 2025)

• AWIS - Am Assoc for Women in Science San Diego - (deadline March 28, 2025)

• ITE - Institute of Transportation Engineers San Diego - (deadline Sept 26, 2025)

• SEAOSD - Structural Engineers Association of San Diego - (deadline Feb 6, 2026)

• SHPE - Society of Hispanic Engineers San Diego - (deadline April 6, 2025)

• SWE - Society of Women Engineers San Diego - (deadline April 1, 2026)

• WTS - Women in Transportation San Diego - (deadline June 13, 2025)

Global - National Engineering Society Scholarships

• AIAA - Am Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics - deadline typically December 31

• ASCE - Am Society of Civil Engineers - deadline typically January 15

• ASHRAE - Am Society of Heating, Refrig, Air-Cond Engineers -  deadline typically May 1 HS Grads/incoming freshman

• NSBE - National Society of Black Engineers - deadline typically Spring & Fall (also open to grades 9-12) 

• NSPE - National Society of Professional Engineers - deadline typically April 15

• SHPE - Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers - deadline typically April 1

• SWE - Society of Women Engineers - deadline typically March 31 incoming first year students, Feb 2 for upper class

• WICYS - Women in Cyber Security - deadline typically Oct 15

• Can I add my Scholarship? Only local San Diego Engineering and Technology Society Sections / Chapters can add their scholarship offerings on this page. You may also add your society level engineering scholarships. For more information, visit the Join/Societies page 

• Timing:  If you have a Spring Scholarship offering, please have your scholarship application package available and on-line by December 20th. The goal is to begin promotion so that students can work on the scholarship(s) during their holiday break.

• Eligibility: If at all possible, please extend your scholarship offerings to include eligibility for a local community college. keep in mind that community colleges, newer engineering university curriculums and many computer science programs do not have ABET accreditation.
